Next generation Apple iPods to boast video camera?
Video and stills cameras will be the newest big addition to Apple’s all-conquering iPod range according to a leak from an Apple insider.
The unnamed source claims millions of components, costing Apple as little as $10 a pop, have been ordered from an Asian manufacturer and will be implemented in a new range of iPod touch, classic and nano players to be unveiled later this year.

It is assumed that the technology would be similar to that deployed in the new iPhone 3GS with a 3.2-megapixel stills camera with video recording and limited editing capabilities that would allow content to be uploaded to YouTube via the built in Wi-Fi on the iPod touch.
With all Pods housing the space and interface to optimise videos and photographs, adding a camera is a logical move for Apple and the long-awaited update looks to be on the way sooner rather than later
The insider claims that everything but the shuffle may have a camera in it soon, and that the sheer number of components ordered from the Far East asserts that they can only be used for the iPods.
