The rumour mill has been in full swing of late with gadgeteers world-wide hoping for the big reveal of an Apple netbook. Unfortunately a report from US research NPD claims that the company own a 91% share of high-end computing sales means that it’s highly unlikely they’ll switch to the lower-end netbook side of the market.

With the launch of the 13-inch MacBook Pro earlier this year, the Cupertino company has managed to cajole unsuspecting creative bods to fork out a fair wad for a pretty basic ‘puter compared to others in a similar price bracket. Add to this the success of the MacBooks and iMac available, all costing an arm and a leg, a low-priced netbook is probably the last thing on Jobs’ mind.
