Motion-based gaming isn't just available on one particular, high-profile living room console, Sony Ericsson is now offering it wherever you are, courtesy of the Yari handset.
Forget the buttons, if you want to play games on the Yari, a few twists, turns and spins should suffice, which will certainly make you stand out at the bus stop or on the early morning train, especially if you're playing the tennis or boxing, never mind doing the keep fit. If you don't want to be the centre of attention, Sony Ericsson has also thrown in a few 'standard' games, all available...

Sony Ericsson has newly launched the Sony Ericsson Satio (formerly the Idou). The 12-megapixel behemouth was first spotted at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year, and we got our first impressions there.
- Watch our hands-on video of the Satio
Stashed with features including the new Play Now functionality, Wi-Fi and GPS, on paper it's a phone to be reckoned with. We hot footed it down to the global launch in London to get some brand new pics and to see the phone up close and personal.
- Check out our hands-on gallery...

We never did see the much talked-about PSP phone, but we now have just about the next best thing, the newly-launched Sony Ericsson Aino. Along with two brank spanking new phones, the 12-megapixel Satio (Idou), and gaming guru Yari, the Aino was the sharing party at the Sony Ericsson global launch.

Ok, it's not a PSP phone in the gaming sense, but it does interact with your PlayStation 3 and PC wirelessly,...

Everybody's getting into the mobile movie sideload business -- just ask Samsung -- and following an MWC unveiling earlier this year, Sony Ericsson is gearing up to launch movie content starting next month as part of its existing PlayNow Arena service. Direct on-phone downloads over WiFi or 3G would be awesome, but as most of these services tend to operate, PlayNow Arena will require that users select and download movies on their PCs, cable up their phones, and transfer the media the old-fashioned way, at which point they'll be playable on the device for 90 days....

We've already gotten a decent look at HP's new Mini 110 courtesy of the usual carefully chosen press shots, but the folks at Tech65.org recently had a chance to get up close with the netbook, and they've now thankfully provided a thorough hands-on video for folks considering it or those simply curious. While there's not exactly a whole lot of surprises, we do get a good look at the new, slightly recessed "anti-glare" display, along with the revised trackpad, the new LCD-intergrated speakers, and the rearranged port and card slots. Head on past the break...

For most people, there is only one name that matters in the world of Microsoft Surface / "rave" integration. And that name? Al Roker. But that hasn't stopped the company from continuing to develop new and innovative ways to show off its super-sized touchscreen device in the milieu of clubland. VPlay, for instance, is a live video mixing tool that allows one to display video clips and live images, manipulate effects, and concoct some pretty complex signal paths with your bare hands. Interested in giving this one a spin? No word yet on a commercial...

C'mon, admit it. Seeing Ask Engadget is your favorite thing of the week, as it definitely marks the unofficial start of the weekend. Before you break out the Dos Equis and engage in copious amounts of "chilaxing," why not give this question a serious look (and an even more serious answer)? "I recently came across the article of "How-to: set up dual-band WiFi." I have been thinking about upgrading my wireless network in order to wirelessly stream video and data from my desktop to my media extenders around the home. What would be a good...

The last time we saw a simplified GPS homing device about, we weren't too terribly impressed. Sure, the premise was solid: press one button to lock in the position of your car (or the gold of Dresden), and it will return you to its location after your day at the mall (or after you've successfully evaded capture). But who wants to spend $80 on a glorified key fob? Not us, that's for sure. For a less pricey alternative, you might want to check out a little something called the Travel Honey. Distributed by China Direct,...

Apparently devoting developers to something other than the great boxee arms race of 2009, Hulu today took the wraps off of its Hulu Labs project, with several "experimental projects" giving a different spin to the TV show & movie-streaming site. None of them are bigger than the Hulu Desktop app, a "lean back" interface (what, they heard ten-foot was already taken?) that unleashes Hulu's Flash video from the browser and also supports Mac & Microsoft compatible six button remotes -- which makes their unwillingness/inability to continue boxee access or offer an official Media Center plugin...

This one goes back a little ways, but a U.S. District Court in Seattle has now given the go ahead to a class action lawsuit brought by former AT&T Wireless subscribers, who have complained that their service went downhill after the company was bought by Cingular and ultimately became the new AT&T. They're also not too happy that they were forced to pay to get new Cingular phones, and they're now asking that AT&T pay back all those extra charges, plus the usual damages, of course. For its part, AT&T isn't saying anything more than that it...
